UNSC (United Nations Security Council):

AGENDA: Establishing Everlasting Peace in Gaza.

UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council):

AGENDA: Emergency Meeting: Alien Rights Council

The situation is as follows. In 1994, an alien craft came to rest in the skies above Johannesburg, South Africa. After seeing no action by the inhabitants of the foreign craft, South African troops embarked on exploratory missions into the vehicle. Upon entering craft, they came across an alien species that seemed to be malnourish and in bad health. They also discovered that the alien craft contains advanced alien technology and resources. Members of the alien species were disembarked from their craft, and housed in the government camp which has come to be known as District 9.
The year is now 2014 and District 9 along with its alien inhabitants have fallen into disfavor with the local population. Humans are divided on how to treat the aliens and crime, rights abuses, and violent actions are increasingly common. Under international pressure, the South African government has reluctantly turned to the United Nations for a solution to the rapidly destabilizing situation. The delegates in this committee are part of an unprecedented emergency session of the UNHRC in which they must work to define the rights of the alien population and work with South Africa to find a peaceful and just solution to this crisis.
